Kursen är en introduktion till huvudområdena inom fri konst vad gäller konstnärliga tekniker, materialkunskap och arbetsprocesser. Studenten får en introduktion till praktiskt arbete i Konsthögskolans verkstäder och studios där säkerhet och ansvar är centrala frågor liksom metoder och processer för konstnärligt arbete.

Participation in the course requires that the student is admitted to the Bachelor's programme in Fine Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts, Umeå University.
