Kursen har speciellt fokus på personcentrerad vård och rehabilitering vid långvariga/återkommande smärt- och/eller funktionsproblem. Ett särskilt fokus ligger på kliniskt resonemang vid komplex problematik i olika åldrar. Kursen omfattar biologiska, psykologiska och sociala förklaringsmodeller samt hur dessa samverkar. Praktisk färdighetsträning i fördjupat kliniskt resonemang ingår. I kursen ingår även att kunna värdera fysioterapeutiska undersöknings- och behandlingsmetoder.
