Statistical problem solving using Excel and VBA

The course gives a solid basis for using Excel and VBA on statistical problems, and for managing, exploring and visualizing data. The skills are practised through working with some larger statistically targetted projects, solved groupwise. Basic training in the use of the type setting language LaTeX for the written reports is also an important part of the course.

Entry requirements

För tillträde till kursen krävs 60 hp inom ämnesområdet matematik och matematisk statistik eller minst två års sammanlagda studier. I båda fallen krävs kurser inom matematisk statistik om minst 15 hp, en kurs i linjär algebra om minst 7,5 hp, en kurs i flervariabelanalys och differentialekvationer om minst 7,5 hp och minst 7,5 hp programmeringsteknik eller motsvarande. Engelska och svenska för grundläggande behörighet för högskolestudier (om kursen ges på svenska).
