The aim for the course is trough practical work experience Swedish sloyd-culture. During the course we will focus on traditional woodworking techniques. The course targets primarily on people from other cultures with focus on introducing Swedish culture and tradition in sloyd. We will work practically with handheld tools, how they are operated and their maintenance. Safety in the workshop is another important part of the course.   Focus during the course besides traditional woodworking techniques and caring for the tools will be on shape, color and expression trough practice in fresh and dry wood. Specific areas in woodworking will be introduced during the course. Construktion, aesthetical principles and sustainability will be concerned.
