I kursen ges en översikt av immunsystemet och grundläggande koncept inom immunologi. **Moment 1, teori, 5.5 hp** Antikroppar, deras kemiska och biologiska egenskaper behandlas detaljerat. Immunkemiska tekniker, inklusive bl.a. immunodiffusion, ELISA, RIA, kopplings och konjugeringsmekanismer, flödescytometri, immunhistokemi, hybridom-framställning, och rekombinanta antikroppar kommer att diskuteras. **Moment 2, laborationer, 2 hp** Kursen ger träning i immunkemiska teknik arbetsmetoder.

Entry requirements

180 ECTS from finished courses including at least 60 ECTS in Biology (containing Genetics, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, and Animal Physiology, with a minimum of 7.5 ECTS in Genetics, as well as 20 ECTS in Chemistry; documented practical experience of laboratory work comprising a minimum of 30 ECTS. Proficiency in English equivalent to Swedish upper secondary course English 6/level 2.
