The course gives an introduction to the history of sexuality in Swedish literature. Four examples of literary works that have influenced  the view of sexuality and made a societal impact are discussed. Works from our time and from the past are analyzed. Questions concerning the relation between desire, sexuality, identity and passion are investigated in relation the literary works. The course could be of interest both for someone who has studied literature before, and for someone with a background in the social sciences or humanties requiring additional insight into literary history.
