Do you want to develop your expertise in dyeing and finishing technology and explore sustainable and resource-efficient processes for the future of textile production? This course offers a unique opportunity to combine theoretical knowledge and practical experience in the field. A Hybrid Course with Flexibility and Practical Application This hybrid course allows you, along with master's students, to participate in theoretical instruction through digital lectures either remotely or on campus, while also providing an exclusive opportunity to conduct laboratory work in the unique lab environment of the Swedish School of Textiles. Here, you will gain both theoretical and practical experience in conventional and resource-efficient dyeing and finishing techniques (such as digital printing, spray technology, and supercritical carbon dioxide technology), providing a comprehensive understanding of how the various stages of textile production interact throughout the manufacturing chain up to the finished fabric for garment making. Laboratory sessions are conducted over 4 consecutive days when you need to be on campus (specific week to be announced). Build on Your Knowledge and Explore Future Textile Innovations This course is aimed at those with a background in textile technology who wish to deepen their understanding of the chemical and physical mechanisms governing the dyeing and finishing of textile materials. You will develop skills in comparing conventional and more resource-efficient processes and understand their application for different production volumes. The course also emphasizes the importance of these processes and their role in the circular economy, which is crucial for transitioning to a more resource-efficient society. Take the Step Towards a More Sustainable Textile Industry With this course, you will gain both theoretical and practical knowledge that will equip you to contribute to a more sustainable and flexible textile production.

Entry requirements
