Are you curious about textile materials, production methods and end-of-life management options? Then join this comprehensive course to explore and discover more about all these questions. This course will include basic knowledge about textile fibres (natural, synthetic and regenerated), their properties (physical and chemical) and their production methods. You will learn about melt spinning, solution spinning, gel spinning and electro-spinning techniques for fibre production. The impact of spinning methods on fibre properties and sustainability concerns will also be an integral part of this course. We will thoroughly discuss how we can make the textile industry more sustainable and what a circular textile economy is. This is a web-based distance course.
