Kursen ger en introduktion i grundläggande mekanik och termodynamik och består av fyra delmoment. Kursen innehåller både teoretiska och laborativa inslag, där de senare syftar till att utveckla studentens experimentella förmåga samt beakta de didaktiska aspekterna av den experimentella fysiken.
