<p>This course celebrates the contemporary breadth and diversity of sociological research. Emerging and established analytical perspectives from fields such as environmental sociology and welfare sociology are presented and discussed. Students are also given the opportunity to explore different current research directions in sociology in project form heightening their appreciation of the types of research questions motivating conventional and applied social research today. This is a core course in sociology at the postgraduate level and the introductory course on the Master Programme in Sociology. It can also be followed as an optional course by both domestic and international students.</p> <p>Language of instruction: English</p>
Bachelor degree in social science or other related subjects is required, or at least 60 credits in sociology, including at least 30 credits from first cycle in-debt courses or equivalent.  Applicants must prove their knowledge of English: English 6/English B from Swedish Upper Secondary School or the equivalent level of an internationally recognized test, for example TOEFL, IELTS.
