The course provides practical application of environmental geological knowledge through a case study of environmental geological issues. Excursion and laboratory sessions are also part of the the course content. The course provides practical training in environmental geological knowledge through a case study of current societal and environmental geological issues. The course also covers: Small-scale systems where soil and sediment properties is characterised in relation to environmental processes. <br> Large-scale systems where conditions and trends in different environments are compared. The course is part of the Master’s Programme in Earth Sciences, the course is also offered as a freestanding course. Teaching The teaching consists of: excursion<br> lectures<br> laboratory sessions<br> exercises

Entry requirements

120 credits in the main field of Sciences of which at least 30 credits must be in the main area Earth System Sciences. Students with comparable qualifications may, after evaluation, be admitted to the course.
