This course offers the opportunity to write an academic thesis in close dialogue with current research in the field. You will develop the skills to independently formulate and carry out a well-defined research project – from idea to finished thesis. During the course, you will also practice academic writing, critically review others’ work, and defend your own. The course can lead to a Master’s degree 15.0 higher educational credits in Film Studies and provides excellent preparation for doctoral studies.

Entry requirements

The student must have a Bachelor's degree with Film Studies as the main subject, or an equivalent qualification, as well as having passed the course FL2110 Film Studies Methods (15 hp).
