<p>The course provides an introduction to basic concepts and methods for analyzing film - such as cinematography, editing, mise-en-scène, sound, acting - as well as overall questions about storytelling and meaning making. The course thus gives you the basic tools for understanding how a movie can mean something to an audience. The teaching is based on film screenings and film clips.</p>
