Introduction to natural sciences: mathematics

The course aims to provide you with knowledge in mathematics equivalent to that required for admission to the mathematics and natural sciences programmes at the University of Gothenburg. During the course, you will practise algebraic calculation and equation solving. Trigonometric functions, complex numbers, logarithms and exponential functions will be introduced. You will study functions, their derivatives and integrals, and apply this knowledge to optimisation problems and surface and volume calculations.

General entrance requirements for university studies and the Swedish upper secondary course Mathematics 3b or 3c or Mathematics Further level 1b or level 1c
