<p>The aim of the course is to give basic knowledge in linear and generilized linear statistical models.<br /> Having passed the course, the student<br /> - should understand the common mathematical structure of regression and analysis of variance models<br /> - have a basic understanding of generalized linear models, the logistic regression model in particular, and relevant algorithms and statistical analytical tools<br /> - be able to identify data analysis situations for which general linear models apply naturally and to estimate parameters, predict future observations and test linear hypotheses concerning the data using suitable computer programmes.</p>

Entry requirements

MSG100/MSG110 and MSG200 or other courses covering the material of these courses.
