Kursen behandlar grundlÀggande matematiska metoder som anvÀnds inom alla delar av fysiken. Den ger en introduktion till differentialoperatorer och teorem som Gauss och Stokes satser samt till metoder för att med integraler bestÀmma relationen mellan fÀlt och diverse linje-, yt-, och volymsladdningar dÀr val av koordinatsystem Àr en viktig del. Kursen ger ocksÄ en första introduktion till centrala begrepp som tensorer, rotationsgruppen och Diracs deltafunktion.
Entry requirements
GenomgÄngna kurser frÄn Ärskurs 1 pÄ Fysikprogrammet, eller att motsvarande kunskaper inhÀmtats pÄ annat sÀtt.
