Kursen erbjuder fördjupad kunskap om berättartekniker i den hebreiska Bibeln. I kursen introduceras olika litteraturkritiska metoder för analys av den hebreiska Bibelns berättande texter. Särskilt fokus ligger på narratologisk metod och dess tillämpning i analysen av prosatexter. Skillnader mellan historiekritiska och litteraturkritiska analyser av narrativa texter undersöks och diskuteras. I kursen behandlas även receptionen av bibliska narrativ i samtida populärkultur.
