Många beräkningsproblem från teknik, naturvetenskap och matematik kan inte lösas för hand, utan endast approximativt och med hjälp av dator. I denna kurs får du bekanta dig med några vanliga tillämpningsproblem och datorbaserade lösningsmetoder. Två viktiga delmoment är att undersöka metodernas prestanda och att uppskatta osäkerheten i beräkningsresultaten. I kursens Matlab-laborationer får du lösa några typiska problem, dels med färdiga rutiner men även med sådana som du skrivit själv.
Entry requirements
Knowledge equivalent to the courses MMG200 Mathematics 1 and MVG301 Programming with Python, as well as 7.5 credits in multivariable analysis.
