<p>The course covers basic concepts and methods of probability theory and statistics, and several of their applications.</p> <p>Course contents:</p> <p>- Sample space and events, the probability concept, combinatorics, conditional probability and independent random variables and their distributions and expected values, special probability distributions, Law of large numbers, Central Limit Theorem.</p> <p>- Point and interval estimation, hypothesis testing, t-distribution methods.</p>
