<p>The course provides increased skills in understanding, speaking and writing Swedish through exercises in listening comprehension, pronunciation and oral interaction, oral production and written skills. SW1702 starts at a B1 / B2-level in Swedish and after successful completion of the course you will have acquired knowledge and skills in the Swedish language equivalent to a C1-level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for language (CEFR). Approved result on SW1702 corresponds to SV3 / SVA3. The course is offered as an access programme and cannot be part of an academic degree.</p> <p>The course SW1702 Qualifying course in Swedish for University Studies for Newly Arrived Migrants II consists of two semesters. The course is conducted on campus and involves full-time studies. The course prepares for working life and higher studies in Sweden. In addition to language studies with written and oral production, social orientation and fiction are also included in the course. Social orientation deals with Swedish social life and the study of social science concepts is also included. Fiction includes reading short stories that reflect different times and societies as well as the study of literary concepts.</p> <p>In order to pass the entire course, a passing grade on all modules is required, as well as a passing grade on the final exam (corresponding to the Tisus test) given at the department.  </p> <p>The entrance exam is given by the Department of Swedish, multilingualism, language technology. As an applicant you are automatically registered for the entrance exam. The application consists of an application via www.antagning.se + the entrance exam. Submit your upper secondary qualification together with your application.</p> <p>The course is free of tuition fees, but students from countries outside the EU / EEA, or Switzerland may have to pay an application fee for admission. Entry requirements

Basic eligibility, with the exception of the subjects Swedish and English. In addition to the basic eligibility, a passing grade on the entrance exam to the course is required.
