The general aim of this course is to give an introduction to textual criticism based on Old Church Slavonic texts. The course contains both theoretical and practical components. You will develop their expertise and skills in understanding and analysing differences between Old Church Slavonic texts and textual versions, that is representations of the texts in time and space. You should be able to evaluate on your own a handwritten source in relation to the text that it represents. You are given the opportunity, when necessary, to choose texts in Old Church Slavonic which you wish to work with during the course. The course is taught in Swedish and English.

Entry requirements

För tillträde till kursen krävs godkänt resultat på kursen SL1102 Fornkyrkoslaviska, Grundkurs, Språkvetenskap 2, 7,5 högskolepoäng, eller motsvarande.
