<p>Vast amounts of data are accumulated in many organizations. Extracting useful information from the data is a challenging task, not only due to the large amounts, but also due to dimensionality, heterogeneity and complexity of data. Data mining is an integral part of knowledge discovery and is a powerful tool for discovering relationships and patterns in data. This course will give you theoretical knowledge about data mining, as well as practical experience in applying data mining algorithms.</p>

Entry requirements

A Bachelor's degree equivalent to a Swedish kandidatexamen of 180 credits (or the equivalent). A further requirement is proof of skills in English equivalent of studies at upper secondary level in Sweden, known as the Swedish course English course 6 or English level 2. This is normally demonstrated by means of an internationally recognized test, e g IELTS, TOEFL or the equivalent
