Discrete mathematics plays a fundamental role in today's information society. The course the foundations in various areas of computer science such as data structures, algorithms, computer, network and information security. The course covers essential discrete mathematical areas such as logic, number theory, combinatorics and graph theory. The course is carried out through some theoretical reviews of the course materials together with a variation of practical computer labs as well as tutorial sessions.

General entry requirements + Mathematics 3b or Mathematics 3c or Mathematics C (or the equivalent).
