In Game Design 2 you study games from a systems and rules perspective. Based on established game design theory and practice you learn how rule systems can be designed to dynamically create engaging decisions for a game's players. In the course you learn how to write unambiguous rules and design engaging analogue games (such as card games and board games). The course also provides an overview of classic and modern analogue games and their mechanics, and what we can learn from these when designing digital games.
Prerequisite courses for this course are: Passed courses: IT147G-Game Design 1 G1N (or the equivalent).
Each offering has its own dates and conditions. Closed offerings are retained as history and do not mean that a new application is open.
