<p>Kursen behandlar teorier och metoder i relation till ojämlikhet i hälsa och hur samhällets uppdelning i grupper, såsom kön, etnicitet och klass, bidrar till ojämlikhet i hälsa. Därtill läggs fokus på att ge möjlighet till undersökning hur man beaktar ojämlikhetsperspektivet på policynivå och i praktiskt folkhälsoarbete. Kursen belyser de etiska principer som måste följas i forskningssammanhang som berör utsatta samhällsgrupper.</p>
