<p>In order to make measurements and present results, knowledge about different measuring instruments and its properties and how measurement data is to be processed to produce a result and its uncertainty is required. In many cases, sampling and measurement constitute a quality assurance of the manufacturing process. The course provides essential knowledge of measurement technology needed to efficiently work as a technician.</p>

The course has the following entry requirements: attended MA137G Mathematics for Technicians G1N and attended FY130G Physics for Technicians 1 G1N (or the equivalent).
