The ongoing debate on global warming and climate change has created a craving for electric vehicles as a contribution to achieving the global greenhouse gas emission reduction targets and improving air quality in urban cities. This creates a need for more knowledge about battery management, both in terms of manufacturing methods and recycling methods.
The course aims to provide an understanding of how lithium-ion batteries are manufactured. It also highlights how batteries that no longer work in vehicles can be reused for e.g. energy storage, and how fully used batteries can be recycled. The course ends with a case study in the form of a life cycle analysis of a lithium-ion battery. **Industry and academy** This course has been developed in collaboration with industry partners within the framework of one of our educational projects. The project aims to provide courses at advanced level to a mix of professionals and students to strengthen the Swedish industry's competitiveness.
We apply validation of work experience to see if you have knowledge that corresponds to the eligibility requirements for the course.
