This course will give an introduction to IT and OT-security (information technology and operation technology, ie. process control), with a special focus on industrial production systems. We will discuss IT security in a broad context, and specifically talk about threats to production systems. We will also talk about how a security system can be setup, with the help of both technical methods like authentication and access control, as well as with non technical methods like laws, regulations, standards and education. **<br> Industry and academy**<br> This course has been developed in collaboration with industry partners within the framework of one of our educational projects. The project aims to provide courses at the advanced level to a mix of professionals and students to strengthen the Swedish industry's competitiveness. We apply validation of work experience to see if you have knowledge that corresponds to the eligibility requirements for the course.
