This is a broad course that treats the adult human being as a sexual being from different perspectives, physiologically as well as psychologically and socially. The subject of sexology is introduced, as well as religious, historical and contemporary perspectives on sexuality and sexual politics. The course covers anatomy and physiology in adults, sexual dysfunction, the effects it can have on the individual's sexual health and professional treatment. Inequalities, SRHR, vulnerability, the exercise of power in relation to gender, gender identity and sexual orientation are also covered.
