The study of electricity is a fundamental part of physics and has extensive technical applications. The course provides the basics of electromagnetic fields and the electrical and magnetic properties of matter, measurement techniques in the study of electricity, knowledge of technologies for utilizing electrical energy, as well as training in physical laboratory work, result reporting, and numerical problem-solving and simulation.
Entry requirements
Participation in Algebra and Geometry, or Linear Algebra I. Participation in Single Variable Calculus, or Calculus in One Variable. Participation in Scientific Computing I, Introduction to Scientific Programming, or Computer programming. Participation in Several Variable Calculus, or Calculus in Several Variables, or studied simultaneously. Participation in Mechanics Basic Course, or Technical Mechanics, or studied simultaneously.
