The course covers the structure of international energy systems and the global usage of different energy resources, as well as various methods for detecting, verifying, and exploiting different energy resources. Infrastructure and associated security and risks. Environmental and political limitations of different energy resources, for example, EU's environmental goal 20-20-20. Political conflicts and risks related to energy resources.

Entry requirements

120 credits including courses in computational science I, programming/computational science II, statistics and electrical engineering and at least one of the courses Energy Systems Physics, Technical Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics for Energy-Related Applications. Proficiency in English equivalent to the Swedish upper secondary course English 6.
