The course will help you to develop the knowledge and skills that are needed to interpret, review and carry out diet studies. Different specialisations of trial design and set-up of diet intervention studies are dealt with. Guidelines and routines for evidence-based diet recommendations, evidence-based decisions on diet and nutritional treatment and health claims for food products are discussed. Nutrition epidemiology with the interpretation of statistics and issues at research ethics review is also included in the course. **Outline for distance course:** Communication between teachers and students takes place through the virtual learning platform and email. Teaching includes mainly recorded lectures and discussion forums. The examination forms consist of oral presentations, seminars/workshops, written assignments/take-home exams. This requires a computer with an internet connection and a headset. The course has 3-4 mandatory digital meetings.
A Bachelor of Science in Dietetics or a profession status qualification as a dietician, or a Bachelor's degree with Food Science and Nutrition as the main field of study
