The course includes - Fixed and mobile charges in semiconductors, including doping mechanisms - Generation and recombination processes of charge carriers - Fundamental theories of current transport in semiconductor materials - Operation and characteristics of p-n junctions and metal–semiconductor junction - Structure and behavior of the MOS capacitor - Principles and operation of the MOS transistor - Fundamentals of the bipolar transistor **Outline for distance course:** The course is delivered through a combination of pre‑recorded lectures, interactive seminars, and online problem‑solving sessions. Laboratory exercises can be completed either on your own computer or during scheduled sessions on campus.
120 credits in science/engineering including 10 credits in electronics and 15 credits in mathematics. Proficiency in English equivalent to the Swedish upper secondary course English 6.
