You translate prose or poetry that has not previously been translated into the chosen target language. Translations are made into Swedish or English from Persian, Kurdish, or Balochi, or into Persian, Kurdish, or Balochi from Swedish or English. Translations may also be made to or from other European languages, depending on the supervisor's expertise. The work also includes a translation theory-based analysis.

Entry requirements

120 credits in Persian A, Persian B, Persian C, and Iranian Languages D, or 120 credits in Kurdish A, Kurdish B, Kurdish C, and Iranian Languages D, or Balochi A, Balochi B, Balochi C, and Iranian Languages D. In addition, knowledge of English equivalent to English 6 is required. (A Swedish bachelor's degree fulfills the English language requirement.)
