This course gives an overview of large language models and other machine-learning models that have applications in society. We learn how these methods work and how to apply these models. The course also covers the technical knowledge needed for using large language models, in particular, prompting, embeddings and fine-tuning.

Entry requirements

120 credits including Probability and Statistics, Linear Algebra, Single Variable Calculus and a course in introductory programming. Statistical Machine Learning. Proficiency in English equivalent to the Swedish upper secondary course English 6.
