Analytical mechanics is a fundamental part of classical physics with significant technical applications. The following topics are covered in this course: the general motion of a rigid body, central motion, constraints and generalised coordinates, Hamilton's principle, Lagrange's equations, coupled oscillations, and special relativity.
Participation in Geometry and Calculus II/Several Variable Calculus/Several Variable Calculus, Limited Version/Several Variable Calculus M/Calculus in Several Variables. Participation in Linear Algebra II and Mechanics II/Applied Mechanics I/Mechanics/Mechanics KF.
