The course gives an introduction to the periods, language groups, writing systems and palaeography of Middle Turkic. Furthermore, the course gives skills in reading, transcribing, analysing and translating selected texts. The course gives an overview of cultural, religious and linguistic relations in regions where Middle Turkic was used.

A Bachelor's degree with Turkic languages as the main field of study
