This course provides a deepening of the practical use of NMR spectroscopy with a focus on studying the structure and dynamics of organic compounds. A brief introduction to parameter calibration and optimisation is followed by a series of structure determinations of organic molecules of increasing complexity. Finally, the effects of dynamic phenomena such as the fluxionality of organometallic compounds and molecular interactions will be investigated.
Entry requirements
120 credits with 5 credits at Master's level. Participation in NMR Spectroscopy I or participation in Spectroscopic Methods for Organic Chemistry. Proficiency in English equivalent to the Swedish upper secondary course English 6.
