Through the course, you will understand how to develop a protein-based biological drug further after the initial proposed design of the drug. You will work on designing experiments to analyse if the biological drug has the predicted effect and in-depth formulate which indication you should treat and which diagnostic tools can be used to find the right patient group. They will also develop a target products profile (TPP) for the drug candidate and based on this formulate a quality TPP. With this base, they will learn more about analytical tools that can be used during the process development of a drug and also gain an understanding of how the drug and/or its effects can be measured in biological samples by e.g. mass spectrometry.
150 credits, including 90 credits in biomedicine, pharmaceutical science, chemistry, natural science and/or engineering, and Biological Drugs, 7.5 credits. Proficiency in English equivalent to the Swedish upper secondary course English 6.
Each offering has its own dates and conditions. Closed offerings are retained as history and do not mean that a new application is open.
