Fysikalisk kemi handlar om hur man kan utgå från egenskaperna hos enskilda molekyler och hur de växelverkar med andra molekyler för att förstå och förklara jämviktsegenskaper och dynamiska processer. Kursen behandlar transportprocesser, kemi vid ytor, kemiska reaktioner och katalysatorer, samt kopplingen mellan molekylära energinivåer och möjligheten att identifiera och karakterisera ett ämne med spektroskopiska metoder

Entry requirements

20 credits in chemistry including General Chemistry, Chemical Principles I, Basic Chemistry, or Basic Principles of Chemistry. Participation in Basic Course in Mathematics, Linear Algebra I and Single Variable Analysis, with at least 5 credits completed. Participation in Physics for Chemists.
