Quantum field theory provides the most precise description of the microscopic phenomena that are at present accessible. In the course, you will discuss the whys and hows of quantum field theory, the reasons for its development and its possible limitations. The corresponding calculation techniques are presented and practised in detail.
Entry requirements
120 credits in science/engineering including Quantum Mechanics, advanced course. Participation in Analytical mechanics or Mechanics III. Proficiency in English equivalent to the Swedish upper secondary course English 6.
