Inom kursen studeras hur allmänna funktioner kan uttryckas med oändliga summor av enklare trigonometriska funktioner. Kursen behandlar Fourierserier, Fouriertransformen och Laplacetransformen och deras tillämpning på ordinära och partiella differentialekvationer. Många av de begrepp som ingår i kursen behandlas även i Fourieranalys men denna kurs har mer fokus på tillämpningar.
Entry requirements
5 credits in mathematics. Participation in Single Variable Calculus, Calculus II for Engineers or Calculus in One Variable. Participation in Linear Algebra I, Algebra and Geometry, Linear Algebra for Engineers or Algebra and Vector Geometry.
