<p>Malmö Academy of Music is a leading educational institution specialised in musical studies, training, and research. With a clear international profile, we move art forward - always with the passion for music and learning at our core.</p><p>The Bachelor of Music programme in Classical Guitar is a three-year full-time university programme. The programme is aimed at students who want to work as professional guitarists in today's multifaceted music world. It gives you the opportunity to deepen your technical and artistic skills, both as a soloist and in ensembles with other guitarists and instrumentalists.<br /><br /><strong>The programme includes:</strong></p> <p><strong>Instrumental studies</strong><br /> You will immerse yourself in your main instrument under the guidance of experienced teachers. Through regular individual lessons, masterclasses and group lessons, you develop both technical skills and your artistic expression.</p> <p><strong>Chamber music</strong><br /> A central part of the education is chamber music, where you get the opportunity to play together with other students in smaller ensembles and develop your musical sensitivity and your communication skills.</p> <p><strong>Projects</strong><br /> In the project course, you work thematically with instrument-related topics that do not fit within the other courses. Examples of subjects included in the course (the content varies from term to term) are ensemble playing, arranging, instrumental technique, practice methodology, repertoire knowledge, etc.</p> <p><strong>Music Theory</strong><br /> You develop your skills in identifying and analysing musical structures, which are fundamental to understanding and interpreting music in depth.</p> <p><strong>Music and Society</strong><br /> The courses in 'Music and Society' explore the role and impact of music in various social and cultural contexts.</p> <p><strong>Music as a profession</strong><br /> The course 'Music as a Profession' will give you a thorough insight into the professional aspects of the music industry while preparing you for a career as a musician.</p> <p><strong>Degree project (performing and reflective part)</strong><br /> The performing part (exam concert) constitutes 75% of your degree project. In the exam concert, your artistic and technical expressiveness is made visible. The reflective part makes up 25% of your thesis. The work is based on your own artistic practice and presented in a format of your choice: written, live or pre-recorded.</p> <h3>Admission</h3> <p>You can apply for this programme via www.antagning.se during the period 2 December 2024 - 15 January 2025. </p> <p>Admission to our programmes requires you to audition at the Malmö Academy of Music.
