Bachelor Programme of Fine Arts

<p>Develop your own artistic practice through studio work, supervision and courses in technique, theory and design. During the programme, you will meet internationally active artists and be trained in independent artistic exploration and critical thinking. </p><p>The Bachelor's programme in Fine Art is a three-year programme. Here you will develop an independent way of working as an artist. You will have access to your own studio throughout the programme and receive individual supervision from professors and teachers. At the same time, you will study courses in technique, design, theory and art history. </p><p>During the first year, you will be introduced to the school's workshops and working methods and learn the basics of a range of different techniques. </p><p>From the second semester onwards, you choose which courses you want to study in depth. The range of courses varies from year to year. This gives you the opportunity to create an education that follows your artistic direction, while receiving support in trying out new expressions and methods. </p><p>During your studies, you will develop and exhibit your artistic work in various contexts. To graduate, you will complete an independent degree project. This consists of artwork, a text and a group exhibition in the Academy of Fine Arts' gallery. The degree project summarises your artistic process and trains you in presenting your artistry. </p><p>The programme has a distinct international character thanks to its internationally active professors, with a focus on preparing you to work in both national and international art contexts. </p>
