Basic technology for buildings

The aim of the course is to provide insight into the basics of building technology with an orientation in building damage and inspection technology. This is a fairly small course, but we hope all will still be able to feel that we have progressed with an interesting learning. The course is held as seven two-hour lessons 1: Introduction - Course structure - Technical requirements for a building 2: Introduction of the assignment. Foundation and how we build in Sweden 3: Wall constructions and windows and construction of apartment buildings. 4: Roofs 5: Building damage and moisture damage Inspection of buildings 6: House and health and radon 7: We present the assignments and talk about what we have learned And as a conclusion, I will invite you to a meeting at KTH - as a study visit. The examination is an assignment and a home exam. The assignment is a description of a detail in a building. You choose what you want to work with. The exam consists of a number of questions that you answer at home, when you have time, and then send in.
