Building as an Energy System III

The course is about building technology and Building services engineering in combination, in order to receive a low energy building. To obtain these goals for new and existing buildings it is important to evaluate the contribution of passive- and active solar heating that will be used in combination with the thermal capacity in the climate shield in order to use optimize renewable energy sources. After completing the course, the student should be able to: • Demonstrate a good ability to calculate the energy balance of buildings and optimize renewable energy sources • Evaluate different opportunities to save energy with measures regarding both building technology and in new and existing buildings • Assess whether there is a potential conflict between energy conservation and indoor climate for different energy saving measures • Demonstrate a good ability to work independently on investigating energy and in writing well-prepared technical reports.
