Care in Childbirth II, Clinical Practice

The course includes deepened independent application and integration of clinical and theoretical knowledge related to all aspects of the care of women, children and relatives regarding normal and complicated pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum care, under the mentoring of a professional supervisor. The course also includes specialization regarding professional approach, to identify, assess, respond and propose individualized care, support, security and information. Also included is performance of accurate practical hand grips, assessment methods and medical-technical management, identifying and assessing risks and reporting of normal and abnormal health conditions. Also included is planning, organizing and prioritizing care based on the patient’s needs and to plan appropriate care interventions based on the conducted assessments and scientific basis. The course emphasizes the managerial and collaborative capability of the midwife‘s responsibility. In addition, documentation of care in accordance with laws and regulations is also trained.
