Climate Change in an Earth System Perspective

<p>The course Climate Change in an Earth System Perspective explores how the Earth system works and how it affects the global climate. Particular focus will then be placed on the climate system and its ongoing and expected changes, meteorological processes, weather and how the ecosystem is linked to the climate system.</p> <p>The course aims to provide basic knowledge of the Earth System focusing on the atmosphere and terrestrial biosphere as well as their interactions.</p> <p>You will learn about composition, physical and chemical properties and active processes in the atmosphere.</p> <p>In addition, the course aims to give a comprehensive introduction to environmental problems associated with atmospheric science, as well as an overview of historical climate changes.</p> <p>The course is part of the Master’s Programme in Earth Sciences, the course is also offered as a freestanding course.</p> <p>More information about the Master's programme in Earth Sciences.</p> <h2>Teaching</h2> <p style="font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;">The teaching includes</p> <ul> <li> <p style="font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;">lectures</p> </li> <li>literature seminars</li> <li>practical exercises with different focused topics.</li> </ul> <p>Language of instruction: English</p>
