Degree Project, Master of Arts (Two Years), Religious Studies and Theology

In this course, the student writes an independent and critical academic work in the form of a thesis. Subject and literature are chosen in dialogue with a supervisor. The process of writing is accompanied by an advanced seminar, where the student present his or her own thesis, as well as act as ‘opponent’ to another student’s thesis. Students must be active in seminar discussions and demonstrate knowledge about scholarly methods and approaches. Since the purpose of the course is the completion of an academic work of good quality, it emphasizes training in the skills of academic writing and the communication of complex theoretical material.
