In this course, you will explore theories of learning, knowledge, and teaching – and how they are interconnected. You will engage with key didactic concepts that are essential for planning, analyzing, and developing teaching and learning processes. The course also examines different epistemological perspectives and how they relate to questions about science and proven experience as foundations for teaching. The concept of didactic competence is discussed and contextualized, as is the relationship between theory and practice in teaching. Didactics is approached from a broad and inclusive perspective. This means that the course does not only focus on teaching within preschool and school, but also on learning in higher education, vocational education, workplaces, and other settings where knowledge is shared and developed. In this way, the course is relevant for anyone interested in understanding how people learn and how teaching can be analyzed and improved across different contexts. During the course, you will also carry out a development project that is documented and presented.
